Dear Parents/Carers

Year 1/Year 2

Mrs Stubbs’ class visit to the beach was postponed yesterday but we hope to reschedule before the end of term.

Early Years

Our Foundation stage children hope to visit Glen Gardens on Thursday 27^th June if the weather permits.

Year 2

Our Year 2 pupils will visit Dalby Forest on Thursday 11^th July.

Festival of Triangles

We would like to invite the parents/carers of children in Key Stage One to come and help us celebrate all things triangular!. As part of our ‘Festival of Triangles’ next week, we’d like to invite you to take part in some fun activities in your child’s classroom from 2.30pm onwards on Wednesday 3^rd July. Come along and see what we’ve been making and join in with the fun.

Church School Leavers

The Diocese of York have invited our Year 2 pupils to join other schools and their Year 2 and Year 6 pupils for a School Leavers Service on Thursday 27^th June at St Martins Church, Scarborough. We will leave school by 12.30pm and return by 3pm.

Year 2 Transition

Year 3 teachers will be in school next Monday to talk to Year 2 pupils prior to their ‘Transition Days’ on Thursday 4^th and Friday 5^th July.

On the Thursday all Year 2 pupils arrive at the Infants school as normal and our staff will take them to the Junior school. Parents will collect from Junior school on Thursday evening at 3.30pm. Parents leave Year 2 pupils at the Junior School on Friday 7^th July and Junior staff bring them back to school in the afternoon for you to collect as normal from the Infants School.

Whole School Transition Day

Thursday 4^th July is the whole school transition where pupils move to their new classes for the day. Please bring your child to their current classroom and collect them from there at the end of the day. School staff will transition the pupils during the day.

School Reports

School reports will be sent home with children on Friday 28^th June,

Open Evening

Open Evening will be on Tuesday 2^nd July at 5pm – 7pm. This is an opportunity for pupils to visit their new classes for September 2019. There will be a number of presentations in the school hall including food tasting with our school cook, ‘Seashells’ wraparound care, Family Learning and Healthy School Team.

If you require an individual appointment please speak to class teachers.

Summer Fair

This year our Summer Fair will be on Thursday 11^th July at 3pm. We look forward to seeing you there. On Tuesday 9^th July there will be a casual clothes day where we invite children to ‘Bring a bottle’ to support the School Fair.

Stephen Joseph Theatre Playwright

Some of our KS1 pupils will have their own plays performed by professional actors at the Stephen Joseph theatre on the evening of Monday 15^th July. This is a very exciting opportunity for the pupils and a unique experience for them

Leavers Disco

Our Year 2 Leavers Disco will be held on Thursday 18^th July 5.30 – 7pm- more details to follow.

Leavers Assembly/Family Picnic

Our leaver’s assembly for Year 2 parents, and family picnic for all parents will be on Friday 19^th July.

Year Two parents are invited to join us at 11am for the Leavers Assembly and all parents are invited to join us at 11.45am for the Family Picnic.
