Dear Parents/Carers
Nursery Parents Meeting
Please don’t forget the meeting this Thursday 23rd May for all parents of Nursery children moving to Reception in September 2019. The focus is ‘School Readiness’ and the meeting commences at 2.15pm until 3.15pm. Children will remain in Nursery with school staff until you collect them.
Nursery Family Learning
Family Learning for Nursery children transitioning into Reception in September will commence every Wednesday afternoon from the 5th June at 1pm. We hope to see you
there.
Nursery Enterprise
Nursery parents please note, our Nursery Enterprise will be on Tuesday 25th June with one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Please keep the date for your diary.
Nursery Places 2019-2020
If you require a Nursery place for September 2019 or know of anyone who does please contact the school office on 01723 513077.
Seashells
Our Seashells club before school is available daily from 7.30am and after school until 6pm. We offer lots of exciting activities and freshly prepared snacks at each session. The clubs are staffed by our own school staff.
Head lice
Please be aware that we currently have several children with head lice and we ask you to check your child’s hair regularly. Thank you.
Sun cream
With the warm and sunny weather approaching please ensure your child has a sun hat and has sun cream on if they require it.
Class Poetry Assembly
Parents of Mrs Stubbs class are invited to join us on Friday 24th May at 9.00am as the children present their poetry assembly.
Filey Music Festival Concert
Some of our Year Two pupils will be performing in the Music Festival on 19th June at the Secondary School. Tickets are available from the Secondary School. A letter for the children involved will follow shortly.
St John’s
St John’s Church, West Avenue, will be hosting the Filey Model Railway show on Saturday 20th July 2019 from 10am to 4.30pm. They warmly invite you to join them there.
Governors
Just a reminder that your Parent Governor Representatives are Mrs M Jenkinson and Mrs H Cusick and the Chair of Governors is Mrs C Wilson.
Half Term
School closes for half term on Friday May 24th and reopens on Tuesday 4th June. I wish you all a pleasant break and thank you for your continued support of the school.
