Newletter 4th September 2019

Dear Parents and Carers

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the new Head of Filey CE Nursery and Infants Academy. As some of you already know I started working in this school twenty years ago and have seen many changes over the years, one thing that has never changed has been my absolute commitment to this school and community.  I feel immensely proud and excited to be the Head of this wonderful church school.

I am passionate about working in partnership with the children, staff, governors, Ebor Academy Trust and yourselves as the parent community to continue to develop Filey Infants as an exciting, happy and successful school. A school that helps children and staff to be the very best they can be with faith, trust and friendship as core values. For me the needs of the children are always paramount in the life and decision making within a school. I strongly believe in providing the children of Filey with exciting, creative and meaningful experiences which build their enthusiasm for learning and help them grow into respectful, well rounded citizens.

I am keen to build a whole school community which thrives on mutual respect and values positive relationships. Building positive relationships with parents and carers is key and I am always happy to talk through any situations. I will be hosting half termly drop in sessions for parents and carers who wish to come and talk to me about any school issue or would like a tour of the school to see us in action. The first will be held on Monday 16th September at 2pm.

We are extremely fortunate to have a highly dedicated staff and truly remarkable children. By working together with trust and respect we can make sure that everyone enjoys their time at Filey Infants that our children make good progress and leave us with the necessary skills and attitudes to be happy successful individuals.

Thank you for your continued support and I look forward to serving the community of Filey, although maybe not quite for another twenty years!

Mrs Angela Clark
