Dear Parents/Carers

Wow! What a wonderfully busy half term we have all had, and it’s not finished yet!

National Elf Day

Thank you for taking part in National Elf Day. We all had fun and raised £72.78 for the Alzheimer’s Society. This is a charity close to our hearts because of the intergenerational work our children do with Dementia Patients at The Hylands Care Home.

Christmas Fair

We hope you enjoyed our Christmas Fair last week. Thank you all for helping to raise an amazing £835.00 which will help fund exciting opportunities for all children in school.

Christmas Production

Please remember Year 1 and 2 children have their evening performance tomorrow at 6pm. Can children arrive back at school for 5.30pm and be collected at 6.45pm

Christmas Parties

Nursery and Foundation Children will have their party in the afternoon of Tuesday 17th December, Year 1 and Year 2 will party on Wednesday 18th December.

Children are invited to come to school in their party clothes on the morning of their party.

We always welcome contributions of food for our parties and ask if you would be kind enough to send one of the following:

Nursery – Buns/Biscuits

Reception – Crisps/Snacks

Year 1 – Buns/Biscuits

Year 2 – Crisp/Snacks

Swimming Lessons

There will be no Swimming for Miss Beaumont’s group on Thursday 19th December or Thursday 9th January. They will have their last lesson on Thursday 16th January and Mrs Stubbs’ group will commence on 23rd January for Seven weeks.

Stephen Joseph Theatre

If you have not yet signed a consent slip or paid £5 via parent pay for the Stephen Joseph Theatre productions next week could you please do this ASAP.

Vacancies

Ebor Academy Trust are looking to establish a bank of relief staff to work in various roles across the Trust. The vacancies are all live on our school website and include positions for Relief Teaching Assistants, Relief Caretakers/Cleaners and Relief Lunchtime Supervisors. Please take a look on our website if you are interested.

School Closes on Friday 20th December at 3.05pm and re-opens on Tuesday 7th January.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank you all for your wonderful support it really has been a most enjoyable first term as Head of School.
