19th March 2018

Dear Parents/Carers,

Last week some of our Year Two children represented the school in the Key Steps Inter School Gymnastics competition.  We were very proud of them and their achievements and celebrate with them the opportunity to participate in competition with a wide range of schools.  Well done everyone.

On Thursday it was the turn of some of our Year One pupils who represented the school in the Stephen Joseph Theatre School Festival in Scarborough.  Our children were the youngest pupils attending and they confidently performed a colourful seasonal production to the theme ‘Metamorphosis’.  It was a delightful production of music, dance, mime and recitation which made us all smile and extremely proud of them all.  Well done everyone.

Our celebration of the wider curriculum and engagement with the local community continues this week when our Year Two pupils stage their long awaited Opera ‘A Silver Swan’ at the Evron Centre on Thursday.  The opera is the culmination of two terms of writing, redrafting, designing, art, music and drama and we excitedly await the production.
