Dear Parents/Carers

Happy New Year and I hope you all had an enjoyable Christmas break.

The Spring Term is now well underway and whilst our Foundation Stage is being, transformed into a ‘Winter Wonderland’, ‘Funny Bones’ are taking over the Year One classes.

The School has also been invaded as the ‘Vikings’ have arrived on the shores of our Year Two classes.

School Lunches Week Commencing 14.1.19

Please note there is a change to the listed menu this week.

Tuesday 15th January lunch will be Chicken Pie.

 School Census

The next Local Authority School Census will be on Thursday 17th January. If you have a Special Guardianship Order or a Child Arrangement Order (Residency Order) for your child please inform the school office as this enables additional funding from the Government. If you have previously informed us of your Child Arrangement Order this is carried forward and you do not need to inform us again.

Cool Milk

Just a reminder for parents of Foundation Stage pupils. As your child reaches the age of 5 years Universal Free Milk is no longer available but you can continue to have milk by purchasing direct from the Cool Milk Company at www.coolmilk.com . For further assistance please contact Mrs Newlove in our school office.

PE

Please ensure that your child has a PE kit in school every day.

Recorders

Recorder lessons for Year 2 pupils commence on Wednesday 23rd January during school time.  Recorders are available to purchase for £4.00 each from the school office.

Musical Jigsaw

Following the success of last year’s school opera ‘The Silver Swan’, this year all children will be contributing to a ‘Musical Jigsaw’ based on the ‘Seaside’. There will be two performances for parents on Thursday 11th April so don’t forget to keep the date!

Wraparound Care

Our Wraparound Breakfast & After School Clubs are now available every day bookable through Parent Pay.

School Breakfast

It is good to see so many children taking up the free breakfast for all at 8.30 each morning.

Parking

Please be considerate when parking at the beginning and end of the school day. Remember it is your child’s safety!
