Welcome!

Welcome to our first Year One blog. All of the children have settled in well and are enjoying themselves in their new learning environment. Over the past two weeks, we have been getting used to our new routines, whilst making a start with our ‘Up, Up and Away’ topic. We have focused on the transport that can be used in the sky and the children have created their own Hot Air Balloon models. Our literacy work has concentrated on stories linked to our class story ‘Blown Away’. In maths we have been working on place value and have explored this using a variety of different mathematical equipment. Let’s keep up the good attitude and work next week.
