New Friends

What a busy half term we have had! We have welcomed lots of new friends into Nursery and we have been busy getting to know each other.

We have shared lots of books about starting Nursery, families and pets as well as learning some new songs and nursery rhymes.

We enjoyed going on our sponsored walk around the school field, looking for signs of Autumn. We found lots of conkers and coloured leaves. We brought them back into Nursery and enjoyed investigating them with magnifying glasses. We also did some conker rolling and leaf printing.

We really enjoyed setting up and playing with our Harvest Shop. We had carrots, sweet potatoes, broccoli, parsnips, pumpkins and squashes. We also enjoyed cutting up the vegetables and making sweet potato fries- they were very tasty!

We were amazed by how many seeds were inside the pumpkin and how big they were! we kept them on the window sill to dry out and we might use them to make some pictures and collages.

After such a busy half term we are ready for a little rest before we come back to Nursery to share some more exciting experiences!
